Attack From All Sides The machine vision industry does not have it easy at the moment. All sides are attacking the traditional markets. For example, there are Asian companies that can also be found on the European market with their low-cost products; classic automation manufacturers that can currently be better integrated into automation environments with their vision products and are significantly easier to operate for vision beginners, and last but not least, companies from the embedded sector that are advancing towards industrial machine vision with their low-cost and low-energy solutions. For this reason, the classic machine vision industry must look at which technology innovations they can offer users in the future and which ideas and technologies can be successfully adopted from the three areas mentioned for their own product range. Software will play an important role, be it OPC UA, API or AI.

Kind regards
