Congatec and Matrix Vision presents a Smarc Computer-on-Modules platform with PCI Express based camera module extension. Without overhead and detours via additional interfaces such as GbE, USB or MIPI CSI, the image data is written almost latency-free and in higher bandwidth directly into the working memory of the Smarc module. The camera modules deliver the image data to the Intel Atom processor based module at up to 226.5fps at 1.6MP, enabling real-time at around 4ms clock speed. The live demo, which can use up to four camera modules, is designed to use SMARC modules with Intel Atom, Intel Pentium and Celeron processors. Variants based on NXP i.MX8 M Plus processor-based SMARC modules are also possible.
