Teledyne Dalsa’s Sapera Vision software upgrades include enhancements to the Astrocyte graphical AI training tool and the Sapera Processing image processing and AI library tool. Continuous learning capabilities in Astrocyte can improve a classifier’s accuracy in the field by training only failed samples without having to retrain from scratch. In addition, the tool includes the new pixel-level anomaly detection. The new algorithm provides the ability to generate heat maps at runtime. In addition, live video from a camera can now be recorded when creating datasets, and a series of files can be automatically generated before training. During recording, images are prepared for training (i.e. resized and aspect ratio adjusted) before being saved to disk.
