Scape Technologies, the London-based computer vision startup, has been acquired by Facebook, according to a regulatory filing. The startup was founded in 2017 and it offers a Visual Positioning Service that runs on computer vision to enable developers to build apps that require superior location accuracy. The technology initially targeted augmented reality apps, but also has the potential to be used to power applications in mobility, logistics and robotics.

Sony recently released a 247MP rolling shutter CMOS image sensor available in monochrome (IMX811-AAMR) and color (IMX811-AAQR) variants which have a 64.84mm diagonal, a square pixel array, as well as 5.3fps.
